Video of a dirty water spilling into Alakol lake on social media alarms authorities of Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Video of a dirty water spilling into the Alakol lake of Almaty region through a pipe appeared on social media, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
The incident was commented by Chairman of the Public Health Committee of the Ministry of Health of the country Jandarbek Bekshin.
"This information needs to be checked. Our specialists headed to the site from Taldykorgan. According to preliminary reports, these are not sewage effluent but waste from a pool. We should check whether this water comes from the pool or household plumbing. These are two different things," chief sanitary doctor Bekshin said.
According to him, specialists will study whether a guest house, where the polluted water was spilling into the lake, has a pool and the necessary permits for water release.
Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliyev wrote on Twitter that the commission already started investigating the case. He called that as inadmissable and promised to report the details of the raid.
