Bishkek, July 31, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan Ibrahim Dzhunusov met with Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Uzbekistan said the sides discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Aripov noted with satisfaction the positive trend of growth of bilateral trade turnover, increase in mutual travel of citizens and intensification of cooperation between the border regions of the two countries.
Ambassador Dzhunusov additionally expressed his opinion on the intensification of cooperation in the field of transport and education.
The parties noted that the activities of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the Council of Heads of Border Areas of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, led by Prime Ministers of the two countries, is an important mechanism for further development of cooperation.
The need for careful consideration of holding regular meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Council, which will be held in Uzbekistan, was expressed.
