President Mirziyoyev congratulates Boris Johnson with appointment as UK Prime Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent congratulation to Boris Johnson over his win in the elections and appointment as UK Prime Minister, the president's press service reports. On 24 July 2019, Queen Elizabeth II accepted Theresa May's resignation and appointed Johnson as Prime Minister. In his first speech in the role, Johnson promised that the United Kingdom would leave the European Union on 31 October 2019. Johnson was elected leader with 92,153 votes (66%).
