Check reveals pollution in air in Nur-Sultan up to 1.8 threshold limit value

AKIPRESS.COM - Residents of the city of Nur-Sultan complain on smog in the capital, InformBureau reported. After monitoring of the air condition in the city at 10 areas, Kazgidromet revealed no cases of high and extremely high pollution.
However, specialists recorded insignificant excess of the norm for suspended particles of RM-2.5 (air pollutant, which consists of solid microparticles and the smallest drops of liquids) at night and in the morning.
On one of the streets of the capital, 30 cases of increase of the norm of 1.0-1.8 threshold limit value were detected.
Some 29 cases of excess in the range of 1.1-1.8 TVL were found on another street.
Kazgidromet said that these data are insignificant and that high pollution is fixed when exceeding 10 TVL, extremely high - exceeding 20 TVL.
The weather forecasters noted that on July 25 a weak north wind of 1-3 / s was recorded at night in Nur-Sultan. Haze was also observed with visibility of 5 km or more at a relative humidity of 98-99%.
