AKIPRESS.COM - Some 100 trucks formed a traffic jam on the Kazakh-Russian border for several days, the Kosak checkpoint reported. The long queue has been observed from both Kazakh and Russian side. Drivers are complaining that their products are being damaged by hot weather causing huge losses.
The border guards said such transport collapse occurs every year in summer period due to a sharp rise of number of trucks.
The most truck drivers prefer to move through the Kosak checkpoint, which causes difficulties in transport movement, spokesperson of the border service Kanatbek Soltanov said.
Authorities suggest to reconsider their route in order to prevent such problems at the checkpoints.
