Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan agree to step up cooperation in tourism

AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation of Uzbekistan met State Tourism Agency Chairman Fuad Nagiev on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Baku. The sides praised the increased flow of tourists between two countries and reached agreement to step up cooperation in this area.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the International University of Tourism and Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management.
The World Heritage Committee will consider the reports of Uzbekistan on the efforts made to preserve cultural heritage in Shakhrisabz, Samarkand and Bukhara.
