Kyrgyzstan introduces tourist passports to be issued on borders and airports

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan introduced tourist passports, which will be given to tourists on the borders and airports of Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department Kiyal Kenjematova told reporters on June 27.
The tourist passport is a card with QR code. "Foreign tourists are able to get all needed information about tourist spots in Kyrgyzstan through their mobile phones," she said.
Every foreign tourist entering Kyrgyzstan will get tourist passport for free, she said.
This tourist passport is more necessary for Kyrgyzstan for security reasons. "We can know what tourism objects they visited and services they used," she said.
Summer tourism season opened in May 2019.
Tourist passports were introduced according to government's plan of preparations for summer tourism season adopted in April 2019.
