Soviet weapons might be blamed for explosion in arms depot in Turkestan region — Deputy Minister of Defense

AKIPRESS.COM - Today it is difficult to say about severity of the accident in Arys city of Turkestan region, Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Timur Dandybayev said at the Senate meeting, Zakon.kz reports. However, the results of findings will be reported to the public, he noted.
According to him, the blasts might be caused by Soviet weapons.
"I should say we have Soviet weapons. We are taking measures to utilize these weapons after expiration of date. It is very expensive process," Dandybaev noted.
A message about explosion was reported today at 9:20.
