Kazakhstan plans to launch 10 renewable energy objects by year end

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan plans to launch 10 renewable energy objects by year end, said Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev.
The share of renewable energy objects in the total energy production will grow by 3% by 2020, 6% by 2025, 10% by 2030, he said.
In 2014, Kazakhstan had 35 renewable energy objects with the capacity of 177 MW. In 2019, this number grew to 74 objects with total capacity of 679 MW.
"By year end, Kazakhstan plans to commission 10 more renewable energy objects with total capacity of 967 MW. In 2020, the number of renewable energy objects will grow to 94 (1,483 MW) and 119 (2,096 MW) in 2021," he said.
