Agriculture Ministry creates division for export of farm produce

AKIPRESS.COM - Export of agricultural products grew by 107% in the first quarter of 2019, said Agriculture Minister Erkinbek Choduyev.
The Ministry created a division for the export of agricultural products to work with all nations on the export. This division will work with the Foreign Ministry, the Investment Promotion Agency and the Ministry of Economy to conduct analysis, monitoring and promotion of exports.
The department will be independent and directly subordinate to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Choduyev said. Kyrgyzstan will be focused on Russia and Kazakhstan in exporting its farm produce, he said.
Minister Choduyev added that he will travel to Russian regions, meet with Uzbekistani and Tajikistani counterparts.
He reminded that Kyrgyzstan can export honey and dried fruits to EU and kidney beans to Serbia.
