Delegation of Uzbekistan's Parliament arrives in Osh for talks

AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation of Uzbekistan's Oliy Majlis (Parliament) has arrived in the city of Osh for participation in the second session of the parliamentary commission on cooperation between the Parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament said.
The guests were welcomed by Kyrgyz officials at Dostuk checkpoint.
MPs at the meeting discussed cooperation of two Parliaments, further development of trade and economic, investment and cultural ties between the countries.
Participants underlined that bilateral relations between the countries have been successfully developing. Economic cooperation between Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken and Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions is boosting, they noted.
The first meeting of the parliamentary commission was held last year in the city of Ferghana. The next meeting will be held in Uzbekistan.
The commission's purpose is strengthening cooperation of the Parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
