Osh hosts expert consultations on fight against terrorism

Bishkek, May 30, 2019. /Kabar/. The IX Regional expert consultations of representatives of security authorities, special services and law-enforcement agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states on fight against terrorism and other manifestations of extremism and the III Meeting on the organization of cooperation in the inter-state tracking of persons who have committed of an offence of a terrorist character are held in Osh, the press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The CIS Anti-Terrorist Centre of member states jointly with the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic conduct consultations.
Various law-enforcement agencies from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan attended the meeting.
The agenda of the consultations includes a set of practical issues of combating terrorism and extremism in the countries of the Commonwealth, their prevention in the face of growing common threats emanating from the activities of international terrorist organizations.
The Regional expert consultation is an annual event of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Centre held at the site of the CIS Central Asian Branch (Representation) of ATC CIS in order to exchange practical experience and develop coordinated approaches to counter terrorist and extremist manifestations in the CIS.
