President Jeenbekov prioritizes clean water supply

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov has attended the Clean Water for Regions Forum today in Bishkek. A clean water supply issue is a priority area in the national strategy, President Jeenbekov said in his remarks.
"A clean water supply in each village will be under my personal control. All involved government agencies should take personal responsibility for quality of water supply systems. Unfortunately, there is information that there are lots of irregularities and shortcomings in a clean water supply sphere," President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said.
The funds should be used efficiently and reasonably without mistakes and corruption like those during the first stage of the Taza Suu Project.
The check of 47 sites under the first phase of the Taza Suu Project found violations on 18 sites, the respective materials were forwarded to the General Prosecutor's Office, President Jeenbekov said.
Retention of the water supply systems remains one of the critical issues in the country now, President Jeenbekov stated.
