PM Abylgaziev establishes commission to implement provisions of UN Convention

Bishkek, May 22, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev signed an order to establish an inter-ministerial working group on the implementation of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities led by Deputy Prime Minister Altynay Omurbekova, the press service of the Government reported.
Within the framework of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the main work will be aimed at providing habilitation and rehabilitation services to people with disabilities, increasing their life expectancy and preventing disability, providing medical and social assistance, expanding access to education, justice, labor, freedom of movement, accessible environment and universal design for people with disabilities.
Heads and staff of ministries and agencies, representatives of international organizations, as well as the civil sector joined the working group.
