PM Abylgaziev receives Chinese Ambassador Du Dewen

Bishkek, May 20, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met with Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen.
The press service of the Kyrgyz government reported that during the conversation, the prime minister congratulated the ambassador on assuming office and wished her success in this important position.
"The Government of Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates the Kyrgyz-Chinese relations of good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation, which are dynamically developing in all areas of interaction. At present, the two countries are maintaining an active political dialogue, implementing joint major economic projects and developing cultural and humanitarian collaboration and cooperation in the security sector," Abylgaziev said.
The head of government noted that a number of joint events would take place in the Kyrgyz Republic this year, such as the state visit of President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and the 14th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Du Dewen expressed her gratitude for congratulations.
"The state visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov to China, as well as the forthcoming visit of President of China Xi Jinping to Kyrgyzstan confirm the strengthening of bilateral cooperation. I believe that the forthcoming state visit of the Chinese President will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations," she said.
The ambassador noted that Minister of Defence Wei Fenghe and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi visited Kyrgyzstan this year, and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is also expected to visit.
"This is a good opportunity to strengthen and develop bilateral relations, as the members of the State Council of China rarely visit one country in a short period of time," Du Dewen stressed.
The sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and further cooperation within the framework of the meeting.
