Balykchy-Korumdu road reconstruction requires additional 3 bn soms

AKIPRESS.COM - State budget will partially finance Balykchy-Korumdu road reconstruction for 150 million soms, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Roads Kylychbek Dosumbetov told a press conference on May 16.
The main contractor, a Chinese company Longhai, has some financial conflicts with its sub-contractors. The company might turn to courts to solve the issue.
Construction of the remaining sections of the road is expected to finish by year end, he said.
So far, 3.6 billion soms have been financed and 3 billion soms more are yet needed.
The state budget has earlier financed the project for 500-600 million soms. Today, more than 50% of the works have been completed, he adds.
