Chairman of CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev arrives in Ashgabat

AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev arrived in Ashgabat to attend the 14th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the meeting of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council on Seed Production in the CIS set for May 15-16.
The guest was received by the Turkmen foreign ministry to discuss preparations for the upcoming high-level meetings in the framework of the CIS, particularly hosting of the Council of Heads of CIS governments on 31 May 2019 in Ashgabat.
Lebedev noted that the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the CIS in 2019 has a vital meaning from the standpoint of strengthening the ties between the participating states and underlined that the development of mutually beneficial relations with Turkmenistan remains to be one of the priority missions of the Commonwealth.
