Jeenbekov congratulates Kyrgyz citizens on Constitution Day

Bishkek, May 5, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov congratulated Kyrgyz citizens on the Constitution Day.
The Kyrgyz President’s press service reported that in the congratulation message the head of state said that May 5 is a day of particular importance in the history of sovereign Kyrgyzstan.
"26 years ago on this day, the first Constitution of independent Kyrgyzstan was adopted, which created the legitimate basis of the Kyrgyz statehood, based on universal democratic values.
The constitution is a special value, a symbol of state and civil unity.
Strict observance of the norms contained in the Basic Law is a pledge of sustainable development of our beloved Motherland," President Jeenbekov said in his congratulation wishing the Kyrgyz people good health, happiness, and the country - peace and prosperity.
