President of Tatarstan to visit Turkmenistan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov will visit Turkmenistan on April 27-28, tatar-inform reports. He will meet President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to discuss potential areas of cooperation. The Presidents will discuss the first Caspian economic forum, in which Tatarstan plans to partake.
The bilateral trade of two countries stood at $23.9 million in 2018. Turkmenistan is one of the biggest consumers of KAMAZ trucks in Central Asia.
Tatarstan seeks cooperation in oil exploration and production in Turkmenistan, supply of pharmaceuticals, refrigerators, shipbuilding products.
