Dariga Nazarbayeva meets Chairwoman of Federation Council Valentina Matvienko

AKIPRESS.COM - Chairwoman of Russian Federation Council Valentina Matvienko invited Speaker of Kazakhstani Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva to visit Russia on official visit and expressed the readiness to sent observers of CIS Interstate Parliamentary Assembly and Federation Council to snap presidential vote in Kazakhstan.
The two met on the sidelines of the CIS Interstate Parliamentary Assembly meeting in St. Petersburg on April 18, the Kazakh Senate reports.
Nazarbayeva said Kazakhstan highly appreciates Matvienko's work as Chairman of Council of CIS Interstate Parliamentary Assembly.
The CIS IPA has become one of the flagships of integration processes in European region, Nazarbayeva noted.
Nazarbayeva emphasized the necessity to organize joint work for more effective regulation of water management and trans border river issues, environmental conditions around military training areas and proposed to develop model draft law on ecology.
